Ornamental Blackwork amsterdam
Fiona has been working as a tattoo artist since 2020, when she began her training at the European School of Tattooing and Piercing.
She is inspired by organic shapes, delicate details, and the strength of bold black contrast. For her, every tattoo is a unique piece of art designed to flow naturally with the body and tell a personal story.
From a very young age, she has felt a strong connection to drawing and art; creating has always been an essential part of who she is. Over time, that passion led her into the world of tattooing—a universe that fascinated her deeply because of its intensity, symbolism, and the personal connection created with each client.
Throughout her journey, she has developed her own style, which is constantly evolving but can be described as ornamental blackwork with botanical influences.
Ornamental
Ornamental tattoos are decorative designs that focus on patterns, symmetry, and intricate detailing rather than depicting a specific object or scene. Inspired by jewelry, lace, mandalas, and cultural motifs, these tattoos often feature geometric shapes, fine lines, and repetitive elements that create a visually striking effect. Ornamental tattoos can be bold or delicate, covering small areas or forming elaborate full-body pieces. They are chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their ability to convey elegance, balance, and personal style through artful, patterned design.
Botanical
Botanical tattoos are artistic designs inspired by the natural world, featuring plants, flowers, leaves, trees, and other botanical elements. They are often chosen for their beauty, symbolism, or personal significance. Flowers can represent love, growth, or beauty, while leaves may symbolise change, renewal, or the cycles of life. Trees often stand for strength, wisdom, and family roots. Botanical tattoos can range from highly detailed and realistic to minimalist and stylised, using vibrant colours or simple black ink. These tattoos offer a timeless and organic way to express a connection to nature, personal meaning, or a celebration of life’s natural beauty.
