Votto (b. 1990, Brazil) is a visual artist who has been tattooing since 2008. Working between Brazil, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal, his practice emerges from a deep connection with Brazilian nature. In addition to tattooing, Votto also works with painting and graffiti. In his tattoo practice, Votto presents a personal interpretation of oceanic creatures, drawing inspiration from historical scientific illustrations. In his abstract tattoo expressions, he creates solid elements built from brush-like movements and textures inspired by Brazilian Indigenous graphics.
